We actively develop scientific cooperation and expand academic exchanges with our university’s partner — Cracow University of Technology, one of Poland’s top 3 technical universities.

Recently, a delegation of lecturers from two institutes of our university — the Institute of Applied Mathematics and Fundamental Sciences (IMFS) and the Institute of Computer Science and Information Technologies (ICSIT) — visited the Department of Applied Mathematics and Telecommunications in Cracow. There, they delivered a series of lectures for students of the Applied Mathematics and Computer Science programs within the Erasmus+ programme.

On behalf of IMFS, the delegation included:

1. Prof. Rostyslav Bun and Assoc. Prof. Olena Gaiduchok (Department of Applied Mathematics),
2. Assoc. Prof. Myroslava Vovk (Department of Higher Mathematics),
3. Prof. Petro Pukach (Department of Optimization and Modeling of Processes).

Representing ICSIT, the delegation included:

1. Prof. Dmytro Dosyn (Department of Information Systems and Networks),
2. Assoc. Prof. Oksana Oborska (Department of CAD Systems).

The visit concluded with a scientific seminar hosted by the Department of Applied Mathematics at Cracow University of Technology, where our lecturers presented their research results and outlined potential areas for joint scientific projects. In addition, discussions were held regarding the next stage of cooperation — student exchange within the Erasmus+ programme.

This visit became a reality thanks to agreements between Prof. Petro Pukach, Director of IMFS, and Prof. Paweł Pławjak, Dean of the Department of Applied Mathematics and Telecommunications at Cracow University of Technology, following a joint meeting held in Cracow in September 2024.

We look forward to many exciting plans and fruitful cooperation ahead!
